The blue ric is very nice too. Sometimes they can be a pain to attach but it looks like you are off to a good start.

I wish I would of know the star polps grow that fast. I guess I will be pruning them back. But that is why I haven't bought xenia cause of the growth. The green attached quicker then the blue. I got 3 peppermint shrimp from Florida Pets.

Glad to hear that you have 3 peppermint shrimp. They do best in a minimum of groups of three. Often times if yuo just have one they will tend to be timid and shy and not come out as much as if you have a small group.

The green star polyps will likely grow about as fast as xenia will...but hey I know of a great website where you can trade some frags of it when it begins to overgrow your tank!

Oh you should see my peppermint shrimp, when I put something new in the tank all 3 of them make a mad dash over to it. They have to make sure that it is okay. One of them gave me a frieght this week. It decided to molt on the day I did a water change. I thought for sure I killed one of them until I noticed that it was the shell. I am still fighting the alkalinity. But it is not as high. It is 12.2. And that was after a water change.
