How long until you have the 150 set up? When it comes to equipment I qould buy everything oversized that way it will all work for the 150 too, unless you plan to keep the 55 going too. What are your future plans? Do you plan on keeping mostly softies, lps, sps, clams, mixed, etc? If you plan on keeping corals with high calcium demands you may want to consider a calcium reactor.

i think i have to get all new stuff the 55 is going i will build a sump to fit the tank too no sump on the 55 , i just got a 175 wat mh so i will keep that but add another or a new light setup for the future plans i would like to keep a little of all corals if i could , i didn't plan on the new tank but ounce i seen the life and the stage i was able to get to with the 55 on a budget i thought that it was the next step and the fact my stand will fit a 150g didn't help but i do have 2 more boxes and i could get a 300g tank on it but don't let my wife know :P no i find a 4 foot tank is easy to place any ware compared to a 6 foot or bigger

i really like the 4 foot tanks but when i upgrade from the 90 my next one will be a custom made 320 cube so but i will still be under 5 feet. But anyway your tank now looks nice. If you are going to a 150 or you might want to concider using some 250 or 400 watt mh get more penetration or even t5's. Keep us up to date on the progress....

That's a kick-ass sump/refugium. It's bigger than my entire tank. I like the way it is compartmentalized with a small propogation tank. Very nice.

yes i am going to build the sump and tank , sump first to see how good i am then the tank . probably 1/4 inch plexy for sump then 1/2 inch for the tank maybe 3/4 but price just about doubles for 3/4 from 1/2
