Well I figured I would get some input. Tomarrow, well actually today now, I can either order a bunch of corals/frags (like 20) or get my 250 watt Double ended pendant. What does not get ordered will get ordered in a week or so anyways but just wanted some input. So what should I get first?

Doh! I completely missed this thread yesterday. Well I guess you already decided on ordering corals instead of new lights. What bulb do you plan on getting when you do get the new lights? What kind of lights do you have now? I'd like to see some picswhen you get your corals.

Well right now I have a 150 double ended Hamilton reefstar low profile pendant and I do really like it but you never know what you are missing until you see others. I will for sure get a 250 double ended, just need to know which bulb. I would like the Ushio again but something more blue might be nice like a hamilton 14k. Radiums have to be replaced too often apparently. Any ideas? 400's just are not worth the power bill.

Upgrading my 175's to 250 HQI's is next on my list. I think I'm going to try out the XM 10K bulbs. If you are looking to try a 250 HQI bulb between 10K and 20K then I think CoralVue makes a 14K bulb, BlueLine makes a 14K bulb, Giesmann makes a 13K and a 14.5K. XM just came out with a 15K 175 watt bulb. Maybe they have plans to introduce some 15K 250 watt bulbs.

The guy that has a store here has 10K Blueline bulbs and they look like a 20K to me, I mean they are blue, very blue. I will probably stick with the Ushios, I could always just change the bulbs though.

The 10k Coralvue light bulb kicks arse. Looks real nice. The photo taken is kinda crappy cause I didn't clean the glass and I've been having a little problem with my return pumping microbubbles into the tank. But it's just that 10k bulb by itself without and actinics
