Is there aything I can do so I don't lose this cluster of buttons. They didn't look that good from the get go and there are less and less that open everyday. I've had them for about three weeks. They were mail order and when they were removed from the bag (after acclimation) there was tons of sludge in the bag and even a hairy crab which now lives in my sump. At the time I didn't know about coral dips and whatnot so they just went in the tank. All my water parameters are good, amm 0 nitrite 0 nitrate <5 ph 8.3 alk 4 cal 400.
Should I try to remove the bad polyps? If so how?
I haven't taken them out for inspection yet so I will wait for feedback,
Thanks
Louise

Based on you lighting on the other post, how high up are your polyps?

If you look at the base or "stalk" of the polyps do you notice any movement?

What are your water parameters?

Water is fine,
temp 80
ph 8.3
alk 4
amm 0
nitrite 0
nitrate < 5
cal 400
phos < 0.05

I haven't taken them out for inspection yet, how long can they be out of water? what kind of probing can they take, can I do fresh water dips or is that useless for coral.
I've added a pic so you can see how they are placed. The lights are 3" over the top of the tank...

could this be my problem? I found a couple dozen of these little guys in between the polyps...
