i found the secret to chilled water free , well minus the price of 400 ft of 3/4 pipe and the labor invloved . i simply dug a trench 200 ft long 2ft x 2ft and layed the pipe . the system works by gravity or siphon no pump needed. it simply siphons from my main vat then goes through the ground then dumps in the sump it goes in at 78 degrees and comes out at 62 unbelievable!!! if i didnt see it for myself first hand i might not have believed it free chiller

Glad to hear that your geothermal loop is working so well. That is much more efficient than running a chiller. Did you take any photos during the install process?

i am in zone 8a you might need to go deeper if the climate is warmer but there is a simple way to lay pipe deeper with little labor ,use a trencher they rent them . i had to hand dig because there was no way to get equipment on the dune i used . the water is 62 now but in the summer it will be 65 that is still cooler than what it was. i have already started a new loop in a different location for back up coolant it works great and anyone can do it if you have the land to do it on
